Learning to Navigate

At flight school I stood out. Every move I made was visible—on the radio, in class and in the hangar. Expectations were low and scrutiny was high in an environment where female aviators were rare.

To move forward I had to exceed expectations again and again. I had to learn how to navigate not only systems and skills, but people and power dynamics.

After graduation I entered the corporate world, and flying was set aside while I paid off my student loans. The challenges changed, but the lessons remained: adaptability, leadership and resilience under pressure.

Over time colleagues and friends began coming to me for advice during significant decisions and transitions. I realized that helping people navigate change mattered as much to me as flying.
